The Elder Scrolls: Castles is a new strategy game that lets players lead their own dynasty

In a surprise release, Bethesda Game Studios has just released a new Elder Scrolls game. Although it’s not what everyone was expecting, Android users can rejoice as The Elder Scrolls: Castles has just been launched on Google Play. The popular franchise is expanding its mobile territory with a new strategy game that lets players control their own stronghold.

The Elder Scrolls: Castles allows players to build their own dynasty from the ground up. Each day in real life is equivalent to an entire in-game year, during which players must train their followers, find suitable heirs, and maintain order in the kingdom. It is important to satisfy the subjects and the slightest discontent can turn into an assassination plot.

Players are free to customize their castles and design them however they see fit. From adding and expanding rooms to placing iconic monuments and decorations, anything is possible. As rulers, players can assign townspeople to different job positions that will ensure the castle survives for centuries.

Progressing through the game involves jumping through many hoops. Players will have to make important decisions that will have long-term consequences, like helping a neighboring nation but ending up with a food shortage in the process or resolving a heated battle between subjects in court. It is these choices that will determine whether the kingdom will prosper or collapse.

In addition to building a fort, players can also create their own heroes and send them into battle against classic enemies from the Elder Scrolls franchise. Their skills can also be upgraded with epic equipment that makes them forces to be reckoned with. Completing battles will reward players with valuable loot which is imperative to maintaining kingdom growth.
